Isa Alstrom

Hey there! My name is Catherine Isabel Alstrom and I’m 16 years old. This is my first art walk and I am super psyched.

I’ve been obsessed with dragons ever since 3rd grade and I’ve been drawing them ever since. I pretty much will draw anything, but fantasy creatures and monsters are my forté. I like to use a variety of mediums, but my favorite has to be alcohol markers. I’m inspired by a wide variety of art styles, but my favorite has to be comic book and pop art (Mike Mognolla in particular).

I’m a junior at St. Joseph High School, and when I’m not creating art I’m watching 80s movies, playing video games, and reading fantasy novels. Hope you like my stuff!

Zachary Lopez

Hello everyone, Zachary Lopez here. I’ve had a unique journey with art that started when I was very young. This journey took me to Indianapolis, Indiana, where I studied studio fine art and got a degree at Herron school of Art and Design. I have been practicing artist for many years.

I primarily use acrylic paint with mix media, creating a textured painterly stroke of expressionistic figures where each individual brushstroke and color is just as important as the overall composition itself.

StashaMarieStudio

Hi, I’m Stasha…I am showing my one of a kind collage designs (journals & canvas). I found the inspiration from vision boards and added my own spice to create visual arts inspired by various themes and aesthetics. I take any blank canvas and magazine clippings and aim to blend the different visuals turning them into one. I love creating this type of art work because it teaches me to think outside of the box and the lack of boundaries challenges my creative freedom. Anything can be art!

Kirby Edwards

Hello there, my name is Kirby Edwards. I’m an artist locally grown here in Victoria, TX. I’ve been drawing, painting, and creating my whole 26 years of existence. Up until I started college (2014) I only drew with shading or colored pencils, but then taking college art classes I was challenged with painting projects. Being exposed to painting I found a new love in acrylics. Their water based and fast drying properties really fit my work pace and lifestyle.

I’ve always enjoyed painting animals and nature as my main focus in my art. Their colors are vibrant and their different textures are so intriguing and challenging.

However, I never wanted to feel like I was just replicating a picture. So I started adding quirky things or situations to these animal paintings to make them unique. I was truly inspired to go this surrealistic route by seeing the many works of Greg “Craola” Simkins, who is a well known artist based in California who paints extravagant pop surrealistic pieces that involve animals and objects.

Every piece I create now involves some sort of whimsical elements. It is my goal to create snapshots of a dream.
